This year St. Margaret in-the-Pines is journeying through the Old Testament with the guide of the sermons by the Episcopal Priest Fleming Rutledge. We sometimes neglect the Old Testament in favour of the teachings and actions of Jesus. As Fleming Rutledge points out, however, when the New Testament is disconnected from the context of the Old Testament, it is like a house with no foundation, a plant with no roots, or a pump with no well.
